Hello all,
My name is Bram van de Louw, 17 years old and sponsor player of KW FLEX Badminton Shop and Victor Europe.
How did I start playing badminton?
When I was 13, my mother once said to me that one of her colleague's children played badminton. Following this comment, I decided to take trial lessons, and I fell in love with the sport immediately. I then also started playing competition at BC Reeshof six months later. Two years after I started playing badminton, I joined the NBBJ (North Brabant Badminton Youth Selection). I played there for two years. From season 24/25, I have been playing competition at BC Shot in Dongen.
Tournaments
I played in category 6 for the first time in season 23/24, and I would like to try to work towards category 4 in season 24/25. I learnt a lot from these tournaments and also met a lot of new people.
Next Step
Next season I am going to change clubs, moving from BC Reeshof to BC Shot. I'm leaving the NBBJ this means I'll have more time to train extra conditionally. And this I am definitely going to do. I also plan to work very hard to be able to play in category 4 in the upcoming season 24/25. In the coming season, I am going to train hard to achieve my set goals and further develop my game. My goal is to improve in footwork, watching/analysing and become mentally stronger.
Ambitions
I became champion in the 7th division pool this season, and unfortunately at the NK Qualification narrowly failed to qualify for the NK Competition teams. I will play 6th Division at BC Shot next season, where I hope to make a lot of progress. My goals are also to reach at least the 1st Division, with the main goal of the Eredivisie of course. This is obviously a big goal, so I am going to split this big goal into small (achievable) goals, in order to make my dream a reality.
I am also very excited to dedicate myself as an ambassador for KW FLEX Badminton Shop and Victor Europe.
