Megan Molier

Hello all,

I am Megan Molier and sponsor player of KW Flex and FZ Forza. I am 15 years old and play at TFS Barendrecht. I train twice a week at my club and in addition I train once a week at Badmintonschool Barendrecht. I also train once a week with Danny Birahy. I also enjoy training the youngest children of TFS Barendrecht. I give training twice a week to a group of children between 5 and 10 years old.

How did I start playing badminton?

I started playing badminton when I was 6 years old. In the beginning I was also in gymnastics. I soon had to choose because I couldn't do these sports together. I sometimes went with my parents to league matches and wanted to get better myself. I started training with the youth of TFS Barendrecht and still play at this club.

What steps have I taken so far?

When I was 8 years old I played youth competition for the first time and when I was 10 years old I played in the U17 of the youth competition. I also soon started playing a lot of youth tournaments. I was 10 years old when I started playing Junior Master tournaments and also some international tournaments. For example, I finished 2nd in the DD at an international tournament in Hoensbroek and 1st in the DD at a tournament in Luxembourg. In 2018 I won the Finals of the Junior Master Circuit and a few months later the Junior Master Cup 2018. I also won many other great prizes at junior and senior tournaments. This year I am playing in the third division and have also been able to play a few times in the second division.

Ambitions

I assume that next year I will play in the second division. By continuing to train and play a lot I will hopefully be able to grow even further. My goal is to play in the 1st team of TFS Barendrecht.
