Measure shoe size
Nice that you are interested in a new badminton shoe! Now you have to decide which size is most suitable for you. If you wear a badminton shoe that is too big, you will slide around too much and your feet will get less support and the chance of blisters will increase.
There are 2 options to properly determine the size of your feet.
- Measure the size of your feet independently.
- Take a tape measure/measure or ruler and place it on the ground (Tip: place it against the wall and put the heel of your foot against the wall too).
- Place the heel of the foot on the end of your tape measure (it's all about the bulge at the back)
- Make sure the foot is straight on the measuring tape. Check the length of your foot.
- Use the Victor shoe chart
- Open the shoe size table link and print the full size picture.
- Place your foot exactly on the image and determine the length of your foot.
The great thing is that this shoe size table is suitable for all brands.
Keep space in your badminton shoe
Once you have measured the exact length of your foot, we recommend adding 0.5-1 cm. Your feet should be able to shift a little, but not too much because of loss of comfort.
It is quite normal to buy one size bigger than your outdoor shoes.
For example
If you are right-handed then the right foot should have about 0.5 - 1cm of space left.
For the left foot, 0.5cm is sufficient.
Compare in the size chart below. The shoe should be 1cm larger than your foot length.
Do you have a foot length of 25.5cm? Then you will need the following:
- with normal foot width 26.5 cm or size 41
- with a narrow foot 26.0 cm or size 40.5
- with a large wide foot, 1.5 cm extra space is needed, i.e. size 42. Better to orient to an extra wide model size 41.
Not sure if you have a wide/narrow foot? Send a photo with a top view of your feet to [email protected], and we will help advise you.
